The R2XBRN is a floor outlet box with brass cover that provide a versatile, functional and cost-effective solution. Its unique design and faceplates allow this box to be configurable from two gang to six gang while preserving its size.
A wide variety of power (standard duplex, GFCI, etc.) and low voltage connectors (HDMI, VGA, RJ45, RJ11, XLR, USB, etc.) can be installed inside this floor box with our FIT-IN modular system. Its large compartment allows the combination of power and low voltage with a service divider (sold separately). It is also possible to have power on one side and low voltage on the opposite side.
Both cable exits have rubber foam to prevent the friction and safeguard the cables coming out from the box.
The 16 GA galvanized steel is powder coated to add an extra layer of protection against corrosion and provide an aesthetic and professional look.
Low profile box 3 1/8” depth.
8 knock outs on each compartment (16 total) for up to 1”conduits installation. Knockouts areas are free of paint to assure a proper bonding and make the installation easier.
Two clips, one on each side of the box, adjust the box to different floor thicknesses.
Manufactured in compliance with the UL standards and listed with the UL514A.
Two built in tunnels facilitates the wiring jobs.
Barriers can be removed if there is no need to separate circuits.
The Brass cover has straight / square edges providing a flush finish with the final floor. A recessed surface of 7/16”depth in the center of the cover permits to install an insert of the floor covering material (carpet, tile, terrazzo, etc.).
A discreet and retractable handle facilitates the opening of the covers door, which grants access to the interior of the floor box. While the door is open two cable exits, located along one side of the cover, can be tilted and when closing the door the cable exits will rest on the sub frame of the cover.
