Our surface mount electrical floor box, also called pedestal box for power and data or tombstone floor outlets let you combine power and low voltage -PF10266.
The PF10266 surface mount outlet box is a configurable solution that provides access to power, AV and data outlets where are needed. It is made out of galvanized steel and powder coated with a fine sand texture finish to virtually match any décor style. Thanks to an internal barrier that isolates the compartments, the box can be configured and loaded with twelve modules of your choice for power and low voltage jacks such as HDMI, USB, RJ45 and many more.
The barrier divides the box into 2/3 (Two thirds) where eight modules can be installed (four on the front and four on the back side) and in 1/3 where four modules can be installed (two on the front and two on the back). Modules installed in the same compartment (Ie bigger compartment has 8 modules) should be the same voltage circuit. That is all power or all low voltage.
The snap-in style 15A receptacles (FBS61) are UL Listed. (Available 15amp. ONLY). The power receptacles are supplied with three screw clamps on the back for the neutral, Hot and grounding conductors. The low voltage modules are empty bezels offered in many styles to accept standard keystone jacks (FBS64; FBS65), Panduit mini com jacks (FBS67) and Commscope (Systimax M series) jacks (FBS62; FBS63).
The base has a big rectangular opening that permit feeding the box from the bottom and four mounting screw holes at the corners to secure it to the floor. Two additional screw holes are provided to align and attach the base to 1-gang or 2-gang outlet boxes previously installed. (flush with the floor). See instructions for further details.
When feeding the box with ½ or ¾” conduits, a knock out plate (Part # FBS133 - Sold separately) is required. The plate is necessary to attach the conduit to the base of the box. The plate has three concentric knockouts, two KO for the biggest compartment (8 modules) and one KO for the smaller (4 modules).
